The HubSpot API addon allows you to use the HubSpot API to push contacts generated through your Interactive Experiences to your HubSpot instance.
How to Enable It
- Open the Building Blocks on the left sidebar of the editor
- Search for “HubSpot Addon”
- Drag the HubSpot Addon onto your project to enable it
- Create a new HubSpot Addon and give it a name, e.g. My HubSpot
- Follow the settings below and configure the addon
Configure
Once you have created your HubSpot API addon you will have to connect it to your HubSpot instance. To do this, click the “Connect” button and follow the instructions in the popup window. If you do not see any pop-up window, please make sure your browser is allowing Dot.vu to open new windows.
Optional: Unbind from Project
When you add a HubSpot API Addon to a project, it becomes bound to that specific project. If you want to reuse the same HubSpot API Addon in multiple projects, you can unbind it from the current project.
After unbinding, you can easily add the HubSpot API Addon to any project from the store. Then, simply enable the unbound addon instance you want to use from the global list.
To unbind the addon, click the “Unbind from Project” button at the top of the addon screen. This will make it available for use on other projects.
Actions
Once your Addon is enabled and configured, you get access to the following action with which you can interact with the addon:
Add HubSpot Contact:
- The “Add HubSpot Contact” action allows you to send a contact to HubSpot and update specific contact fields. When you use this action, you will be able to choose which fields you want to update.
- Finally, the “Add HubSpot Contact” action works as an upsert, which means it will add new contacts if they do not already exist in your HubSpot account and it will update existing contacts with the new information.
