Zapier Addon

The Zapier Addon allows you to seamlessly transfer data collected from your Dot.vu Interactive Experiences to Zapier.

With customizable triggers and fields, you have the flexibility to define exactly what data is sent and when, allowing you to tailor the data flow to fit your specific workflows and automation needs.

How to Enable It

  1. Open the Building Blocks on the left sidebar of the editor.
  2. Search for “Zapier Addon”.
  3. Drag the Zapier Addon onto your project to enable it.
  4. Create a new Zapier Addon and give it a name, e.g. My Zapier.
  5. Configure the addon using the settings below.

Addon Settings

  1. Click Connect and follow the link provided to gain access to the Dot.vu Addon app on Zapier.
  2. Define your Custom Triggers and specify the fields you want to send to Zapier when the trigger is fired.
  3. Save your changes to the Addon. The Custom Triggers and their respective fields will now be available on Zapier.

Using Custom Triggers on Zapier

  1. In the Zap editor, select the Dot.vu Addon app and connect to your Zapier Addon with the API Key provided in the Addon Settings.
  2. Choose Custom Trigger from the Trigger Event dropdown menu.
  3. In the Configure tab, choose a Custom Trigger that you have defined in your Zapier Addon.
  4. Navigate to the Test tab and click Test Trigger or Find New Records to retrieve the fields of the selected Custom Trigger.
  5. The fields are now available for use in subsequent steps of your Zap.
  6. If you have made changes to your Zapier Addon, repeat step 3 and 4 to reflect the changes in the Zap editor.

Actions

Once your Zapier Addon is enabled and configured, you get access to actions that trigger your Custom Triggers. You can configure the field values in these actions using manual values or values from the page.

When you add a Zapier Addon to a project, it becomes bound to that specific project. If you want to reuse the same Zapier Addon in multiple projects, you will need to unbind it from the current project first.

After unbinding, you can easily add the Zapier Addon to any project from the store. Then, simply enable the unbound addon instance you want to use from the global list.

To unbind the addon, click the Unbind from Project button at the top of the addon screen. This will make it available for use in other projects.
